大麻等の違法薬物についての意識調査のお願い【重要】

本学学生が大麻所持の罪で有罪判決を受けたことについて、早稲田大学は
事態を極めて重く受け止めています。早稲田大学は、今後、本学学生が違法
薬物に対する正しい知識を持ち、二度と今回のような事態を引き起こさない
よう、あらゆる再発防止策をとります。
それは、大麻等が違法薬物であるだけでなく、それらを用いることが重大
な健康上の害をもたらすからです。再発防止策の前提として、まずは、全学
の学生の皆さんの大麻等の違法薬物に関する認識および意識について充分に
把握する必要があります。再発防止策が学生の皆さんの意識とかけ離れてい
れば、効果が乏しいからです。早稲田大学は、この意識調査の結果を踏まえ、
違法薬物使用などの防止に関する講習会、全学共通科目における啓発、学生
生活に関する指導・広報の見直しなど、防止のための抜本的対策を講じてい
きたいと考えています。従って、この調査は、早稲田大学がより健全な大学
生活を送ることができる大学となるための貴重な資料となります。学生の皆
さんもこのことを踏まえて、本調査にご協力ください。
本調査は、今後の啓発活動のために、学生の皆さんの違法薬物に対する認
識および意識を調査するもので、違法薬物の使用実態を特定することを目的
としたものではありません。違法薬物に関する啓発活動以外の目的には使用
しません。
ネットポータルから回答していただきますが、回答内容と皆さん個人を特
定することは決していたしません。回答の内容によって皆さんが不利益を被
ることは一切ありません。趣旨を理解し、ご回答してくださるようお願いい
たします。
なお、本調査の結果は、統計処理をほどこしたうえで、薬物防止の啓発を
目的にWASEDA WEEKLYおよびWASEDA WEEKLYホームページ上に掲載し、フィー
ドバックいたします。

学生の皆さんは本調査へのご協力とともに、各自、法を遵守し、更なるモ
ラルの向上に努めてください。
なお、再発防止対策の一環として、１２月中旬にコースナビ上に薬物乱用
防止に関する講義を配信する予定です。こちらも必ず聴講してください。詳
細は決まり次第周知します。

Request for Survey of Attitudes about Cannabis and Illegal Drug Use

Waseda University takes the issue of possession of cannabis by its
students and subsequent conviction in a court of law extremely
seriously. We are now investigating all possible means of preventing
a recurrence of such issues, as well as ensuring that all students
are fully aware of the seriousness of this crime.

Not only is cannabis categorized as an illegal drug,its use is also
extremely harmful for mental and physical health.In the effort to
prevent a recurrence, it is first of all important for the university
grasp whether students recognize and are conscious of cannabis and
other illegal drugs. If our measures for preventing recurrences are
too far removed from students’ understanding,then the efforts will
be to no avail. Based on the results of this attitude survey, Waseda
University will vigorously introduce anti drug-abuse measures such as
lectures on illegal drugs and the prevention of their use, deepening
general understanding, and revision of instruction regarding student
life. Waseda University is currently reconsidering prevention procedures
involving the whole university. This attitude survey is therefore
extremely important as a means of re-energizing our resolve to fight
this scourge and reviving a determination to stamp outillegal drug use,
thus providing a mentally and physically healthy study environment
for all our students.

This attitude survey intends to examine student consciousness and
recognition of illegal drug use, NOT to identify the actual conditions
of illegal drugs abuse. The results of this survey will NOT be used
for any other purpose than activities to prevent illegal drug abuse.
All students will answer questions through the net-portal.We will NOT
attempt to identify individuals or the contents of any of the responses.
NO respondent to this survey will sufferfrom any disadvantage by
responding. Therefore, please answer all questions as honestly as you can.
Furthermore, as one effort to preventing such a recurrence,the results
of this survey will be published in WASEDA WEEKLY and its homepage as
a form of feedback after statistical calculations have been made.

Once again, please cooperate with this attitude survey, and develop
your own awareness of the need to abide by the cannabis control law
and the accepted standards of society.
Incidentally, as part of the new illegal-drug prevention agenda,
a special lecture about illegal drug abuse will be heldon the Course
N@vi in the middle of December. We strongly recommend that you listen
to this series of lectures.Details will be announced later.
